Sinigang na Bangus sa Bayabas
AJI-NO-MOTO® UMAMI SEASONING
4-5 cups Water
1 small size Onion
4-6 pcs Guava
2 medium Tomato
1 medium Milkfish
8 pieces Okra
2 pieces Long Chili
2 tablespoons Fish Sauce
1 teaspoon Black Pepper
1 pack AJI-NO-MOTO® Umami Seasoning
Preparation and Cooking Time: 30 minutes Makes: 5 servings
Serving size: 200 grams of soup with vegetable and 1 slice of milkfish
POUR the water in a cooking pot. Bring to a boil.
ADD the guava, tomato, onion, and whole peppercorn. Let it boil. Continue to boil (covered) for 15 minutes or until the guava and vegetables are soft. You may add more water if needed.
Using a fork of a potato masher, mash the guava and vegetables inside the cooking pot to extract the flavors.
POUR in the fish sauce. Stir.
ADD milkfish. Cook for 5 to 10 minutes in medium heat. Add the okra and Jalapeno. Continue to cook for 5 minutes.
ADD kangkong leaves. Cover the cooking pot. Turn the heat off. Let the kangkong stay in the pot for 5 minutes.
SERVE while hot
Don’t over cooked the vegetable to maintain the crunchness.
